We are excited to be having the 2012 ROAR Carpet Nationals at our home track, Mikes Hobby Shop, in Carrollton, Texas. I have posted the classes below. Of course, I'm racing VTA and F1, so this blog will cover those classes. I will post up whatever tips I can for the classes pertaining to our track, ie: tires etc.
When the classes were announced around Christmas time, there was quite a bit of backlash about it. Mostly that there would be VTA and F1 instead of more 1/12 and sedan classes. Get over it, there is stock and Mod, do you really need another class in between? But since the initial sniffling, there has been quite a lot of interest in the F1 class. I have received several PMs and emails with questions about the track and whatnot.
There is interest nationwide about this and I expect a few heats of F1, not just enough for one main, but maybe 3 or 4. I haven't been keeping tabs on the VTA threads as much, but I have a feeling that it will be quite popular too.
